“Honouring Your Loved One with Presence, Love and Intention.”
Letter of introduction
I am so deeply honoured you are here.
Welcome… my name is Natalie Grant.I am a Funeral Celebrant with a 25-year background in beauty therapy and energy work, known as Reiki. More than anything, I know people. I have walked alongside many through life’s tender moments, the joy, the heartbreak and the in-between. It is a true privilege to now support families in honouring the lives of those they love.
Creating a ceremony is not just about marking a passing; it is about holding space for connection, remembrance, and love. Together, we can create a farewell that feels personal, meaningful, and reflective of the unique soul being honoured. A space where stories are shared, memories are felt, and every person present is gently included in the experience.
Energy and the energetic presence within a ceremony, is something very close to my heart. As a Reiki Master, this naturally weaves into all that I offer. With care and intention, I hold a grounded, compassionate space, one that supports not only the ceremony itself, but the emotional and spiritual experience of those gathered. It is my hope that this gentle support brings a sense of calm, connection and comfort during what can be a deeply tender time.
Every ceremony can be shaped in a way that feels right for you and your family, there is no one right way to say goodbye.
This is a time where emotions can feel overwhelming and decisions can feel heavy. You don’t have to do this alone. I am here to walk beside you, to listen and to gently guide you as we create something that truly honours the deceased.
My intention is that this farewell becomes more than just a ceremony, it becomes a moment of connection, a space for love and a memory that continues to support you in the days that follow.
If this resonates with you, I invite you to reach out when you feel ready. We can begin creating a beautiful and heartfelt tribute together.
May this be the beginning of a supportive connection. I feel truly honoured to walk alongside you during this time.
With love
Natalie 🤍

Asked Questions
Here are some frequently asked questions about this process.
What does a Funeral Celebrant do? A Funeral Celebrant works with you to create a personalised ceremony that honours your loved one. We guide the structure, tone, and content, helping you include meaningful rituals, stories, readings, or spiritual elements that reflect the life being celebrated.
How is a celebrant - led funeral different from a traditional service?
Celebrant-led ceremonies are fully tailored to your wishes. Unlike more traditional or religious services, you have the freedom to co-create the farewell, including music, readings, rituals or energy-based practices, making the ceremony uniquely personal.
How soon should I contact a celebrant after a death?
It’s best to reach out as soon as you feel ready to begin planning. Some families contact a celebrant immediately, while others wait a few days. I will guide you at a pace that feels comfortable, offering support throughout the process.
.
Can we include spiritual or energy-based elements in the ceremony?
How do we plan a ceremony if we are unsure what we want?
Absolutely! That’s completely normal. Together, we can explore your ideas, memories and the personality of your loved one to shape a meaningful service. I provide guidance, examples and gentle suggestions to help the process feel manageable and supportive.
Can the ceremony be held at any location?
Yes. Ceremonies can be held at a funeral home, at home, in nature, or a location meaningful to your loved one. Wherever the space, the focus is on connection, remembrance and honouring the life lived.
Can you help if our family is from different cultural or spiritual backgrounds?
Absolutely. I work with families of all beliefs, traditions and backgrounds to create a ceremony that respects everyone involved, weaving together elements that are meaningful, inclusive and heartfelt.
What is the difference between grief and mourning?
Grief is the internal experience – the thoughts, emotions and memories you feel after a loss. Mourning is how you express that grief outwardly, through rituals, ceremonies and shared remembrance. A ceremony provides a safe space to honour both.

Understanding Grief and Loss
Losing a family member, friend or someone you deeply care about is never easy. During this time, you may experience a wide range of emotions as you navigate the pain and sadness of your loss. These feelings are a natural part of the grieving process and it’s important to honour them without judgment.
There is no “right” or “wrong” way to grieve, but there are gentle, healthy ways to cope as you move through this journey. Grief is the internal experience, the thoughts and feelings that arise within you, while mourning is how we bring that experience outward, through remembrance, ritual and connection. Together, we can create a ceremony that supports both, allowing you to honour your loved one in a deeply personal and meaningful way.
How long does a funeral ceremony usually last?
Ceremonies typically last between 45 minutes – an hour and a half, depending on what you would like to include. Together, we ensure the timing feels right for the family and guests while honouring the life being honoured.
How do we get started?
You can contact me directly to have an initial conversation. We’ll discuss your wishes, explore ideas and begin shaping a ceremony that honours your loved one with love, care and intention. I can also recommend funeral directors to work with if you have not already connected with one.
